Police Beat

It's about time to give you all a laugh with this week's Police Beat.


Theft
At the BYU Bookstore, a student was caught stealing $21 in
office supplies, $22 in clothing and $56 in NCIS DVDs. The student
was arrested and released after receiving a citation.

Suspicious behavior
An officer was dispatched to the tunnel
near the Marriott Center to investigate a suspicious couple under
a blanket. After the investigation, all was well.

Theft
There have been 10 reported thefts from various women’s
restrooms of the JFS B. Thieves are finding good money in the
feminine product dispensers.

Suspicious behavior
A man was reported smoking outside of
the Bean Museum. An officer was dispatched, but nothing was
done because no laws were being broken.

Property destruction
Students were caught dropping watermelons
off the Bell Tower. Officers issued a warning and told
them to clean it up.

Animal safety
A concerned student reported nine endangered
ducklings which had fallen through a grate. The reporting student
and a dispatched officer saved them, reuniting them with
their mother.

Violation
Two Marriott Center employees were caught watching
a BYU baseball game from the top of the building. They were fired
on the spot by their supervisor.
