Memorial Day

To celebrate Memorial Day, Brian and I visited the Provo Cemetery, where we both have great-grandparents buried.  After Brian found his great-grandparents' grave, I called Mom to see if she could direct me to Theras Orson and Florence Rheuamah Porter Allred's grave.  We couldn't find it with Mom's directions (it's by a tree), so we looked it up in the office.  It's a good thing we did because although the gravestones are correct, in the cemetery's records Theras Orson is buried with Theras Quathel's wife, Marguerite, and Florence is buried with Quathel.   That would be a family scandal.  The kind lady said she would fix that on the records right away.  And funny enough, the gravestones were in the area where there are no trees.

There were trees. As the cemetery expanded, they probably were removed.

It was nice of you to take flowers.
