Trip to Wisconsin

Since we didn't get to spend either Christmas or Thanksgiving with my family, we took a trip out to Wisconsin last week.  It was kind of nice to travel when it wasn't so busy and plane tickets were half as much.  Here are some of the highlights of the trip.

Going to the cheese factory and store

Visiting Ben and Shannon and Macey
Introducing Brian to the Scoresby family slides, with some of Dad's mission slides added in.  Mom wanted to get out her mission slides, too, but didn't.  Somewhere around 1994 Brian fell asleep.
Visiting Emily, Preston, Lauren, Joanna, and Ben
Having a pool party at the Fairfield Inn and Suites (where we had a free night stay in a presidential executive suite)
Going to the Mall of America

Riding the SpongeBob ride in the MoA

Going to Gander Mountain and Fleet Farm
Playing Wii
Cross-country skiing

Snowblowing/shoveling the driveway three times

We had a lot of fun, and we appreciate Mom and Dad for hosting us.

What would we do for entertainment without Mullins Cheese?

Ideas for entertainment in Wausau besides Mullins Cheese: Ice fishing, Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, sledding down that one hill on the north side of town, ice skating, boot hockey, curling, basketball, gordmans, eastbay, center of North America in Poniatowski, Marathon Cheese, Yellowstone Cheese, and North Star Casino.

AND Granite Peak.

North Star Casino, Preston? ;)

Sorry we weren't able to visit with you guys more! Macey just started feeling better yesterday. Glad we were able to see you some though! Macey's definitely a fan of Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian. :)

Well, Preston, we did do Gordmans and East Bay. Sarah suggested the art museum, but Janet and I had already gone to that exhibit and found it pretty lame. We were too cheap to pay for any of the other stuff you suggested and Rene was out of town for part of the time and I wasn't about to go ice fishing.

You guys like cheese a lot! You have three blog posts in a row that include cheese somehow. ;) That's a smart idea to visit family after the holidays. It's probably much less stressful.
